Simplicity in operation

By simply pushing the start switch, the KX-21 automatically aspirates, dilutes and analyzes the whole blood sample providing 18-parameter test results. There is no need for sample predilution for analysis (Whole Blood Mode*).
Simply presenting the sample tube containing whole blood to the KX-21 sample probe is all that you have to do before pushing the start switch. As well as the built-in thermal printer**, sample storage capability for 240 test results will make your testing work more simple and effective.

Simplicity for multiparameter analysis
Clinically useful information of 18 hematology parameters plus histograms for RBC, PLT and WBC (tri-modal) is easily obtained by the KX-21, requiring only one push operation and small volume of samples. Data for all parameters and histograms are presented via the LCD display and on the built-in thermal printer***. You can select analysis mode for 18 parameters in Whole Blood Mode or for 8 parameters in Predilute Mode. Sample size required for analysis is very small; approx. 50µL in Whole Blood Mode or approx. 20µL in Predilute Mode.

• Data for 18 parameters plus 3 histograms for RBC, PLT and WBC (tri-modal) are presented via the LCD graphic display.
• Sample requirements are only approx. 50 pL for 18 parameters in Whole Blood Mode and approx. 20 pL for 8 parameters in Predilute Mode.

Simplicity of quality management
Accurate detection technology, inherent in Sysmex Hematology Analyzers, is incorporated in the KX-21. The Sample Rotor Valve used in the KX-21 is a new version of the type used in higher-class Sysmex analyzers, and precisely measures the required volume of sample to provide accurate and reproducible test results. The automatic discrimination function for RBC and PLT determines the optimum cell size discrimination level for each individual sample.
To confirm and maintain test data accuracy, two easy-to-use QC programs (X and L-J) are available. A variety of monitoring and flagging functions are also iseful for reliable reporting.

Simplicity in maintenance
Daily maintenance of the KX-21 is extremely simple. Before analysis, a comprehensive automatic start-up including electronic self-checking, rinsing and filling of all hydraulic lines and background count check is completed just the power switch being turned on. After analysis, by pressing the SHUT DOWN key, the KX-21 automatically rinses all hydraulic lines and shuts itself down. Because the KX-21 uses a newly-developed, non-cyanide reagent for hemoglobin measurement, there is no need for troublesome waste treatment.
The compact bench top design of the KX-21 does not obstruct your work. It requires only 420 mm width and 355 mm depth, and the pneumatic unit and reagent bottle are built into the KX-21. You can keep work environment more comfortable with the simplicity of KX-21.
